It's Tea & Tarot Tuesday! Today we're looking at the Nine of Pentacles.

The tea I chose to pair with our luxurious Nine is Walnut Fudge Brownie by @davidstea. This is a black tea that has toasted walnuts, chicory root, monk fruit, coffee leaf, chocolate, and cocoa powder. It's rich, and dessert-like.

The Nine of Pentacles represents success, abundance, and self-sufficiency. We've reached a point in life where we're seeing the rewards of our hard work. We've dedicated ourselves to a goal, and we've reached it. Allow yourself to be confident and content with your current lot in life.

The security found in the Nine of Pentacles is often one of material wealth. We are self-sufficient and independent. This gives us a certain sense of freedom, and we're mature enough to appreciate it.

We don't need to worry where our next bill payments are coming from, and thus can enjoy the fruits of our labour. Treat yourself, and know that you've earned it. There's also a level of sophistication and elegance here, so don't be afraid to take part in the finer things of life.

When the Nine of Pentacles becomes reversed, that security we've found has been lost. Life feels unstable, and even though we're busting our butt, we wonder if we're ever going to reach our goals. We over-indulge, spend more than we can afford, and try to keep up appearances thus becoming quite superficial. We may be reliant on someone else for money.
