Last week, a friend asked me an interesting question. She had chosen a card in our Friday pick-a-card love reading, but felt it resonated more with her relationships at work, rather than with her partner. Does that work? She wondered.

And the answer is 100% yes! You may find that the messages in our Friday readings correspond better to another relationship in your life. And that’s okay! So, trust your intuition. If it’s screaming at you that the message applies to a friendship or working relationship, it’s probably right.

As Percival is a new addition our little family, I thought it was time that he had his cards read.

I asked him how he was feeling today, what I needed to know about him, and what I could to to make his life better.

He was quite interested in the cards, as he’s a very curious little bunny.

These are the results of his reading:

How are you feeling today: Ace of Wands
Full of energy, and adventurous! He’s been exploring new rooms this morning, so that definitely lines up. He wants to take action, and do what he feels called to doing (which did not include posing for a photo). He’s feeling a bit sassy (as he demonstrated by nipping at me to get out of his way).

What I need to know about you: Nine of Cups
This seems like he’s a happy bunny! Content, and satisfied with what he has. He’s optimistic, and happy to indulge and eat his weight in food and hay. He’s also recently started trying new types of food, and I feel like the Nine is a sign he’s quite enjoying that addition to his diet.

What can I do: Page of Swords
Let him be curious and explore but at his own pace. There are times he feels cautious or a bit apprehensive, and pushing won’t do either of us any good. He’s still figuring himself out, and his personality is starting to come through - nurture that. Keep providing him with toys to learn and challenge his mind.

It's time for Tea & Tarot Tuesday, and today we're talking Death.

☕️ The Tea 🫖
I chose the Elderflower Spritz to pair with the Death card. Elderflower (or elder in general) can symbolize transitions, endings, and rebirth. The tea itself is a blend of white and sencha teas, with elderberries, elderflowers, peony petals, and elderflower flavouring. It's lightly sweet, perfect to get you through to the next chapter of your day.

💀 Death 🥀
Death; number thirteen. This is a card that many people don't like to see pop up in their reading (probably due to pop culture more than anything), but it's one of my personal favourites. Transition, endings, transformation, and rebirth.

Death is a reminder that we must let go of the old, cut away the dead leaves and lifeless branches to make room for new growth. Out of endings comes new beginnings, and while it can be sad and difficult to move forward, it's necessary.

When this card appears it's time to tie up loose ends, and gain the closure you need. Change and transition are coming, and while possibly uncomfortable, not something to fear. Release what you need, and welcome the end. Once all is done, you'll be ready for something new.

In the reversed position, we're adverse to change. We fear it. We run from it. We do whatever we can to stop it. We are clinging to the past, and refusing to let go, because at least we know what that entails. There is no growth here, not when we're hanging on so tightly to the past.

Death reversed can also be a sign that we need to get rid of the toxicity and decay in our lives. Stop repeating the same negative patterns.

Good morning, and happy Monday!

This week's message from the cards is screaming honesty! We have Justice and the King of Swords, both of which cut through lies and bullshit. It's time to be truthful, fair, and to keep our integrity in check.

Justice is a reminder that our actions have consequences - and while this doesn't mean there's going to be a negative outcome, we do need to realize what we say and do has an effect on where our path takes us.

With the King of Swords thrown into the mix, it's a good time to be extra cautious with your words and judgements. Hear people out, be fair, and be just. Use logic and reason to work your way through difficult situations.

This is not a week to shy away from difficult situations or responsibility. Be upfront, and accountable. Work within the highest standard of your morals, and you'll be able to surmount challenges that come your way.
