Pair Two: Seven Swords & Wheel of Fortune

The Seven of Swords is often about trickery, and deceit. However, this month it’s taking on another one of its meanings: cunning, and strategy.

Just as the figure in the card is rising from the dead, so must you find a road around your obstacles. Sometimes the path you need to take is not where you expected to travel, but use your wit and your intellect to surpass any obstacles that get in your way.

Do not waste time deceiving yourself or others, be honest about who you are, and what you want.

With the Wheel of Fortune thrown into the mix, we’re reminded that there are things beyond our control. To get through the month, you’ll need to ride the cycles that come with life.

The Wheel of Fortune is a reminder that no matter how bad things get, your luck will return. Trust in your journey, and take it one step at a time. Remember, whatever energy you put out into the world, will be returned to you.

Pair Three: Eight of Pentacles & Four of Pentacles

The Eight of Pentacles encourages you to spend time mastering a skill or talent. This could be something new that you’ve had an interest in for a while, or a skill you already have but want to improve. Keep learning, and keep working towards your goals.

Know that results and mastery take time, effort, and dedication. It won’t just happen in the course of one or two days. Keep your nose to the grind, and have faith that the repetition that comes with practice makes perfect will pay off.

This month, think about what you could do to improve your current situation. Make a plan, and start working towards it. The Eight of Pentacles is a great sign of success, so work hard and success can be yours.

With the Four of Pentacles there’s a strong desire to hold on tight to money and materials. It’s always a good thing to be cautious how you’re spending your finance; however, don’t let it become an obsession to the point where it’s making you unhappy.

Realize there is more to living a fulfilling life then being wealthy or collecting a great deal of material things.

Looking at these cards together, there’s an underlying message that there’s nothing wrong with learning new skills with zero intention of using them for monetary gain. However, if you’re struggling financially, leveling up your talents will lead to new opportunities, which in turn will help you feel more secure and stable in life.

Don’t be too stingy this month. This isn’t to say you should spend all your money, but consider sharing your skills, talents, and time by being a mentor to others. There’s no benefit to going through life being a miser.
