Happy February, friends! We’ve officially made it through the first month of the year!
For this month’s reading, are three hearts to choose from for your reading! Take a look at the pairs below, and select heart one (left), two (middle) or three (right).
Choose a Heart
This month I decided to go with the Lumina Tarot created by Inner Hue.
I had my eye on this deck for about two years before I decided to bite the bullet and finally purchase it in December. Excellent decision, and beautiful deck.
February’s draw is two cards: something you should do this month, and something to be wary of.
If the heart on the left was your first choice, your cards for the month are the Six of Pentacles and Maiden of Swords.
January may not have been the easiest month for you, but February is shaping up to be better. The Six of Pentacles is all about generosity and support. Give to others. Help where you can, but know that it’s not always about a monetary contribution – you and your time are valuable and worth sharing.
Support those around you. Empower yourself by empowering others. Lift up those who are down, and someday they will return the favour. Remember that we’ll all on this rock hurtling through space together, and even a small gesture can mean the world.
Don’t be too proud to ask for help, especially from those who love and support you. You never know what opportunities may arise because you dared to speak up.
The Maiden of Swords is often filled with fresh ideas and exciting new goals, but this month she comes as a warning to not allow yourself to become overwhelmed. Know that it’s okay to express yourself. Paired with the Six of Pentacles the message of articulate what you need is ringing loud and clear.
It’s great to have so many paths you wish to pursue, but be careful that you’re not falling into the trap of all talk, and no action. Keep your head on straight. Take action down roads that are meaningful to you instead of trudging forward solely for the sake of movement.
Our first card for February is the Ten of Swords. The Ten of Swords is a sign of endings – often painful and unexpected. There are emotions, things or people in your life that it is time to shed. Letting go and getting over disappointment is not easy, but it’s time.
Reflect on your actions. Lick your wounds. Take care of yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually before moving forward. Breathe. You’ve made it through the thick of the woods.
With endings come new beginnings, and even though it might not feel like it right away, you will emerge stronger on the other side. Let the sunlight shine on your face, and prepare yourself for the good things to come.
The Knight of Cups is a reminder to temper your emotions, and keep your expectations in check. It’s going to be a moody month filled with a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Don’t allow yourself to be pulled into the emotional drama.
It’ll be easy to fall into old ways of thinking and self-delusions, so periodically take a step back, and evaluate. Be honest and face your feelings when necessary. Remember to be kind to yourself. When everything feels like too much take a deep breath and a time out to regroup.
We often get so embedded in a daily routine of go-go-go that we forget to take care of ourselves. The Five of Pentacles is a clear message that it’s time to practice some self-care.
Do what you can to protect yourself from illness – whether that’s something like eating better, exercising more, taking vitamins or getting proper rest. If you’re feeling mentally or emotionally overwhelmed, allow yourself a moment to catch up.
When you’re feeling ragged, don’t force yourself to perform like you’re at full capacity. It’s okay to say no. It’s okay to take a break. You don’t have to explain yourself – if your mind and soul are craving some rest and relaxation, take it.
With the Ten of Pentacles in a warning position, it’s possible that this month will bring about a feeling of instability. This could present itself in any facet of your life, and you’ll need to decide how to bring about more security in your life. Linking back to our Five of Pentacles, it could largely be due to lack of self-care.
We all end up in situations that we wish we could change, but sometimes we need to accept things as they are so that we can move forward. Remember not to become so wrapped up in your own world that you fail to see what happening around you.
Well, there we have it!
I’d love to know if the messages delivered resonated with you, so drop a line on this post!
If you’re experiencing this awfully cold weather, bundle up and keep warm!
